This session is part 1 of the full day beginner WordPress track.
We’ll set each person up with your very own WordPress site. We’ll install a plugin and you’ll have a brand-new site to play with the rest of the day. (We don’t want you messing up your own live site!)
Then we’ll use a panel to go over general terminology: What is core, page vs. post, category vs tag, plugins, widgets, hosting, maintenance, etc. Many of these topics have more in-depth sessions later in the day. So we’re setting up the background here. We’ll also try to learn what participants in this track want to learn over the course of the day.
