Saturday is WordCamp Baltimore

Arrival & Parking…

Please arrive between 8–8:30am to register, get your name tag and t-shirt. If you need directions or parking information, check out our venue page.

We will have $10 vouchers for the Garage at Light & Lee street attached to the Royal Sonesta hotel. Please see Andy or Jayvie for these. We will have more details on if you need to move your car after the event or not the day of the event. We believe the vouchers are a day pass only and not all night.

When you arrive…

Enter the Science Center through the main Inner Harbor entrance, right on the water. It’s huge and hard to miss, on the opposite side of the building that touches the intersection of Light St. and Key Hwy.

Once inside, take the stairway up stairs and to the right, registration will be on the second floor. If a member of the Science Center stops you, tell them you are with WordCamp Baltimore. Once you receive your name tag, you should keep it on so Science Center employees know you’re a member.

Your name tag will have a copy of the schedule, twitter and wifi information on it.

Sessions

We have a User/Community that will be on the third floor in the theatre area (we will have one or two way-finding volunteers to help you find this, as you have to walk through a few science exhibits to get there.

The Design/Development track will be in the Legg Mason exhibit hall, right next to registration on the second floor.

Lunch

A box lunch is provided and you are also welcome to enjoy the Science Center’s cafe if you get hungry. There is also bar/pub dining in Federal Hill on Cross St. (about .5 mile walk) and in the opposite direction, more commercial restaurants on the Inner Harbor.

An afternoon snack will be provided, too. We have limited food so take one or two and come back once the line has died down – we’d like everyone to get something.

If you’re like @theandystratton, you’ll probably want to hit the Science Center Café for a second snack/meal.

After Party

Our after party is on the upstairs lounge at Mothers Grille in Federal Hill, about .5 miles from the venue. The party is from 6–9pm. The address is 1113 S. Charles St, Baltimore, MD 21231. After 9pm you are free to explore Federal Hill & Baltimore (safely). Some people may get in a group and continue socializing, bars close at 2am.

Please contact us via Twitter @wordcampbalt, or #WCBALT, or baltimore@wordcamp.org with questions. See You Tomorrow!
